Frequently Asked Questions
- When I enter a word into the keyword search field which areas does it search?
- The keyword search criteria looks at two areas. If the keyword is contained within the title of the course it will select the course. In addition when the details of the course were entered on the system the university specified appropriate keywords for each course to assist your searches. If these keywords match the keyword you selected the course will be displayed in the search results
- Am I doing something wrong? The hyperlinks just take me through to the home page for the faculty at the HEI rather than the detail relating to the course.
- No you are not doing anything wrong. Some University websites do not currently have a web page for every course although they are all working towards this. Please bear with us whilst the websites are being upgraded and in the meantime contact the University via email or telephone using the contact details displayed in the further information section.
- What happens if I check the box "Exact keyword" when I enter a keyword search?
- If you do this the search will only search the keywords and will not search the title of the course. However the Keyword does not have to be the full word. For example, a search for "Rehab" will select courses which have the keyword "Rehabilitation".
- I work at an NHS Trust but my salary is funded by the Medical School. Would I be eligible for CPD funding?
- If you are working in a trust and caring for their patients they would be responsible for supporting funding. It is where you work not who pays your salary which is important.
- Who do I contact if I have some suggestions/comments on the actual website?
- Please submit your comments via the "Contact us" tab. Feedback is extremely important to us to ensure the website meets the needs of all users. Responses can be expected within 2 weeks of posting your message. If you have not received a response within this time please send an email to f.bates2@bradford.ac.uk
- I have just developed a new CPD course which is not listed on the website. Who do I contact to make certain it is available via this site?
- Please access your Education Provider details listed in the "Contacts" PDF document which is available via the tool bar. They will be able to advise who is able to update the website within your own organisation.
- What happens if I check the "Exact phrase" box below the course title?
- If you put two words into the title search field, for example Mental Health, you will only get the courses displayed which have these two words together in the title.
- When I clicked on the title of one of the courses the weblink was unavailable. What should I do?
- You can either contact the Education Provider concerned or submit feedback to the systems administrator from the home page of the website. The Education Provider's contact details can be found on the PDF document accessible via the "Contacts" link on the Tool bar or on the further information details associated with the course.
- I have left some feedback on the site. How long should it take to get a response?
- You should receive a response within two weeks. If you have not received a response within this time period please send an email to f.bates2@bradford.ac.uk. Thank you.
- My profession is not listed in the list of professions - what should I do?
- Do not select a profession when you are undertaking a search as many courses are open to all professions. Use instead the other search criteria to limit you selection.
- How do I get a list of all the courses which are available on the website?
- If you access the "Home/Search" tab and click on "Search" without making any selections you will be presented with a list of all the courses which are available on the website.
